The carved decoration based on geometric and plant elements, as well as the arrangement of the compartments, drawers and fittings, show a strong influence from ancient Chinese models.

Isabeline-style chairs in walnut wood. Spain, 19th century. Composed of a three-seater sofa, two armchairs and a wingback chair. The wingback chair features a high upholstered back, in subtle contrast to the armchairs (formed from juxtaposed ovals), which also display curves. In all cases, simplicity and cabriole legs are prominent features. The lines of the furniture and the small decorative details place its creation within the style known as Isabeline, as it flourished during the reign of Isabella II.

Empire dressing table or psyche mirror. Mahogany wood. 19th century. A full-length tilting mirror placed between two columns and on two legs joined at the bottom with a turned crossbar, made of mahogany wood and with gilded metal applications. This type was commonly known as a psyché or psyche, and was very common in France. Compare this example with the one kept in the Museum of Romanticism (Madrid).

19th century Chinese table. Wood, with carved and lacquered details. An oriental table with a square top, slightly overhanging and supported by corbels at the corners, carved in the shape of cloud scrolls. It stands on four simple circular legs, typical of traditional Chinese furniture, joined by an openwork waist, with a recessed profile, which is decorated with central plates with figurative reliefs and phoenix figures also in relief, on an openwork background, in the corners. In the secondary areas we can see motifs of scrolls, flowers and insects. All the carvings appear decorated with lacquer. The figurative scenes represent dynamic and narrative scenes, set in the ancient imperial court.

Two chairs. Walnut wood. 17th century. Chairs made of carved walnut with an openwork back decorated with four crossbars, one with discs and the other with balustrade shapes, which have jambs on the lower part, following common models in 17th century Spanish Baroque cabinetmaking. These types of pieces are not preserved as often as the most outstanding examples because they were used very often and replaced when fashions changed.
