“Children with a goat”. Glazed porcelain The figures are set on an oval base decorated with forms inspired by 18th-century Rococo. A boy holds the goat by the head, while a girl, kneeling, appears to be milking it. These pieces, with their innocent and idealized themes, flowers, and abundance of detail, were common in most major European factories during the 19th century, and served as inspiration for this work.
