Cornucopia with prominent crest in carved and gilded wood, 18th century. A cornucopia with a rectangular mirror inside, its frame adorned with simple moldings (some concave, some straight, and some convex) without exaggerated movement, and on the outside, delicate garlands of flowers. The prominent upper crest stands out, composed of rocaille, curved moldings, flowers, and a vase. This work is of great interest because, while the simple lines mentioned above are more characteristic of Neoclassical styles, other elements (rocaille, concave and convex moldings, movement, decorative exuberance, etc.) are characteristic of the Rococo style. Both artistic styles coexisted in 18th-century Spain. It requires cleaning and minor restorations.
