Sundial with compass and case. Bronze. BION, Nicolás. Paris, 18th century. Polygonal sundial with bird-shaped gnomon and engraved triangular piece, which presents, to one side, a compass with a needle with triangular ends. The name of the author and place where the work was made are found right next to it, surrounding a plant decoration. On the back, a series of cities with their corresponding latitudes have been engraved, both in the circular shape and on the sides of a fixed decorative element. It comes with a polygonal case. Nicolas Brion was a French engineer, and a similar piece is kept in the National Maritime Museum in London.
