Immaculate Conception. Oil on canvas. Colonial school, 18th century. This oil on canvas depicts the Virgin Mary surrounded by angels, set against a landscape and standing on a crescent moon, wearing a white tunic and blue mantle, following the typical iconography of the Immaculate Conception in the Spanish school, especially since the works of Murillo. Note, however, that instead of stars around her head, a series of angels' heads appear, which is unusual.
