Reference: ZF1415
Pair of railings. Wrought iron. Segovia, 16th century. Pair of wrought iron railings with balustrade-like bars facing each other, each with discs. These are decorated with two opposing "C"-shaped elements alternating bars. Stylistically, they follow common models in the Castilian Renaissance school. Compare these with the railings of the 15th-century Casa de Pilatos in Seville, or with the one preserved in the Santa Cruz Museum in Toledo (Spain), from the Convent of San Juan de la Penitencia and made by Juan Francés in 1528.
