Cup with column in carved and turned veined marble Both elements were crafted from the same stone to lend uniformity to the piece. Lost-wax bronze casting. Model by Auguste Moreau. Patinated bronze sculpture of two children together, the boy holding flowers. “Ramón Aranaz”. Bronze bust. Antonio Yerro Feltrer (Valencia, 1842-1911). Signed. Founder “V. Ríos”. Bust of Ramón Aranaz (Valencia 1831-Madrid 1898), Valencian businessman, banker, and politician, dressed in a suit and wearing a medal sash across his chest. The sculptor, Antonio Yerro, studied at the San Carlos Academy of Fine Arts in Valencia and won several prizes at exhibitions, such as the National Fine Arts Exhibition of 1884. He was also awarded various decorations in recognition of his artistic merits.

The wingback chair features a high upholstered back, in subtle contrast to the armchairs (formed from juxtaposed ovals), which also display curves. In all cases, simplicity and cabriole legs are prominent features. The lines of the furniture and the small decorative details place its creation within the style known as Isabeline, as it flourished during the reign of Isabella II.

Gas lamp in glass, gilt bronze and enameled porcelain. 19th century A pedestal adorned with rocaille and medallions serves as the base for the porcelain vase decorated with roses, which forms the body of the lamp and features two metal handles. The top houses the valve for controlling the gas flow, and the flame is protected by a glass cylinder encased in a carved, pink glass flower. While not neglecting the functionality of these pieces, considerable time and effort have been dedicated to the decorative aspects, as this lamp is intended for a prestigious interior.

Devotional pendant in gold and enamel, Mary Magdalene and Saint John the Baptist, 18th century. Possibly Mallorcan. One of the panes of glass is cracked. An oval pendant adorned around its edge with turned gold ribbons and small metallic beads. One side depicts Mary Magdalene as a hermit, holding a skull, a cross, and a book; the other shows Saint John the Baptist, accompanied by a cross and a lamb, alluding to the Gospel passage. These types of pieces were highly valued by their owners as devotional objects and could also contain a relic.

Candlestick with chain. Silver. Francesc. P. Arquer, Barcelona, Spain, circa 1825. With contrast, engraved and proprietary marks (AS). Silver candlestick in its natural color with an openwork bowl on two levels, raised on two small legs (inside which is a vase-shaped candle holder with braided decoration towards the center), and a flat handle (curved towards the end, where the third leg is located), decorated with a series of simple openwork shapes and fine strings of small pearls along the edges of the handle and bowl. The piece bears engraving marks, ownership marks (AS) under the bowl, and hallmarks. These latter marks link the piece to Barcelona silversmithing, placing it in the workshop of Francesc Arquer and in the 19th century. Weight: 183 grams.
