Centerpiece, “Flora's Dance”. Glass. Val-Saint-Lambert, Belgium, 20th century. Cup-shaped centerpiece made of glass, and with a frieze representing a dance in gilt (gold); The creation of this piece is linked to a design by Leon Ledru and also with Metisse. Val Saint Lambert is a glass company in operation since 1826 and with headquarters in the former Seraing Abbey (Liège, Belgium). In 1825, Jean-François Deneef settled in Val Saint-Lambert with the intention of creating a crystal factory better than that of Baccarat, and, in fact, it is highly appreciated for the quality of its products, and the quality has been of glass which has brought him several recognitions.
