Enameled porcelain figurine. “Vendor with hen and eggs”. Inspired by models from the Manufacture Nationale de Sèvres (France). The young woman, dressed in blue with her hair covered by a striking red cloth, carries a hen and a basket of eggs. At her feet, another bird enlivens the composition, while the base, worked in relief with rocaille, adds a sense of movement and allows the work to be related to European examples of 18th-century porcelain (especially from Sèvres), along with the elegance of forms and the detail of the painting.
