BRONZE OIL LAMP. 19TH CENTURY.

Decorative Antiques -
Reference: Z6771

Bronze candle. XIX century. The circular foot rises at the edges to collect any oil that may fall. A Solomonic foot ends in a vase shape, to give way to the central knot of the candle, in which each of the lights emerges from a schematized quadruped. The upper finial, above another simple vase shape, has a flat plate of scrolls and fleur-de-lis and a tubular rod finished in a decoration with two shapes reminiscent of rampant animals and another figure at the top. This type of lamps made in the 19th century are inspired by other older works, following the custom of the time of taking the styles of the past as examples to follow.
